DESCRIPTION
Improper removal of some devices may cause the system to stop responding (hang). One such device that is known to cause the issue is a TP-Link wireless dongle used with TL-WN821N software. If the device is removed from the computer without using the approved ejection process the computer hangs displaying the following error code on a blue screen:

RESOLUTION
Avoid the issue by using the proper procedure for removing the device:
  1. Click the Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media icon in the task tray.

  2. Select Eject 801.11n NIC.
  3. Wait until the Save to Remove Hardware message appears.
  4. Remove the TP-Link device.
HP recommends using this procedure to eject all USB devices.
