Samsung Laser Printers - How to Setup a Printer on a Wireless Network Through USB in Windows

Learn how to setup a printer on a wireless network in Windows 7 and 8, as well as manually connecting a printer through the USB. This information uses an example of a network with WPA2 as the encryption method. While WEP is supported, it is highly insecure and should be avoided. Any modern router supports WPA or WPA2, which are better alternatives.
Before starting, you will need to know the following information:
  • The IP address of your router or access point (Default Gateway).
  • Your wireless network name (SSID).
  • The encryption method for your network (WEP/WPA/WPA2).
  • The security key for your network (The password you enter to connect).
It is recommended that you download the latest printer and scan drivers for the printer.
If you have not installed the print driver yet, go to Software and Driver Downloads and enter your model printer into the search text box to download the latest driver.

Select your operating system, and then follow the appropriate steps.
