After installing a Jetdirect certificate, the printer's embedded web server (EWS) cannot be accessed. This is caused by installing an incorrect certificate as the Jetdirect certificate. The only certificate that can be installed as a Jetdirect certificate is one that has been created from a certificate request generated from the same Jetdirect print server.
By default, a Jetdirect print server will redirect all HTTP requests to HTTPS which utilizes the Jetdirect certificate. When an invalid certificate is installed as the Jetdirect certificate, the HTTPS communication is affected and attempts to remove the certificate through a cold reset or an NVRAM initialization does not resolve the issue.
