HP iPAQ 310 Travel Companion Series - Trouble Synchronizing Devices

Issue:
Unable to synchronize an HP iPAQ 310 Travel Companion to a computer.
Solution
note:
Do not start Microsoft Outlook synchronization before connecting the iPAQ handheld. Doing so prevents synchronization because the Sync button is disabled.
To synchronize an HP iPAQ 310 Travel Companion Series handheld to a computer, complete the following steps:
  1. Connect the iPAQ device via USB.
  2. Tap Start > All programs > HP iPAQ Travel Companion 310 series > Outlook sync > Start.
    The Outlook Sync dialog box is displayed.
    The Outlook Sync dialog box should say Connected, and the Sync button should be enabled.
  3. Click the Sync button.
    The Microsoft Office Outlook dialog box is displayed.
  4. Check the Allow access for box.
  5. Click Yes.
    The HP iPAQ device should synchronize automatically.
