All hardware errors begin with a 'C.' Similar errors begin with a 'E' or a '9.' These can be treated the same. The '??' field is for 'more error info.' It is additional information about the error. The error code is the 'xx' field.

SB Component (C0200xx)

Pen/Carriage PCA debugging hints

1) "cbio.cb_power 5;" will turn the carriage PCA power on and test the pens. It will not assert, but returns an error code in the format: "KCMYwwxx" where K,C,M & Y is the pen status, ww is extra bits (currently warm warnings from synergy and endeavour) and 'xx' is the error code listed for C01300xx above. The pens will be tested for shorts continuously.
Pen errors are:
0x00 pen is ok
0x01 pen is ok, but indicates an internal ink short.
0x02 pen is missing (acumen usable).
0x03 pen has been disabled due to another color pen being bad (acumen usable).
0x04 pen is bad (acumen usable)
0x05 pen is bad, and acumen is unusable.
0x06 one of the color pens is bad
0x07 unknown status
A 76 tap test will assert the first pen error available (order is K, C, M, then Y).
A 77 tap test will test for shorts continuously, and report a failure on the LCL panel.

Trailing Cable Failures

A failed trailing cable may result in open circuits, which will be detected by a failure of a component located on the carriage PCA. The following error codes could be caused by a failed trailing cable:
  1. Break in MICCI clock, MICCI data, +5v, +32v or all grounds. C002002F (prior to 5.16), C010xx11, C010xx12, C012xx20, C013xx04, C013000F, C013xx15, C0130016, C013xx44.

Codes C013xx27 & C013xx28 indicate a mis-installed dimple flex (the large end).

Bad Spot Sensor

C013xx17 (shorted +5v to Gnd) or C013xx24 (not installed or LED backwards).
