HP Deskjet 3600 Series Printers - Manual Two-Sided Printing

Introduction

Follow the instructions in this document to set up the printer for manual two-sided printing, also known as duplexing. The printer will then print on one side of the paper, prompt you to remove it and reinsert it, then it will print on the other side.

Printing instructions

Open the Printer Properties dialog box. One of the following methods will open the Properties dialog box.
- Click File, click Print, then click the Properties button.
- Click File, click Print Setup, then click the Properties button.
- Click File, click Print, click Setup, and then click the Properties button.
- Click Print, click Properties, then click the Printer Assistant.
- Click the Taskbar Printer icon.
- Right-click the applicable 3600 icon in the Printers folder, then click the Printer Preferences button.
Click the Finishing tab.
Select Print on Both Sides.
Select a binding option.
- For book binding, verify that Flip Pages Up is not selected.
- For tablet binding, select Flip Pages Up.
Select any other desired print settings, then click OK. The printer prints the odd-numbered pages first.
Once the odd-numbered pages have printed, reload the paper with the printed side up according to the binding type and orientation selected.

Click Continue to print the even-numbered pages.
