HP Designjet 5500 Series Printers - WebAccess Page has Missing or Clipped Information

Introduction

An issue occurs when attempting to view the Designjet 5500 WebAccess page when the computer monitor's screen resolution is set to 800 x 600 or lower. This lower screen resolution causes menu information (normally displayed on the left-side of the web page) to either disappear or become inaccessible. Figure 1 below shows how the web page may display when missing these options:

If the Other links: option is missing, increase the computer monitor's resolution to see all of the WebAccess page options as outlined below:
  1. Right mouse click on an empty area of the computer desktop.
  2. Click on Properties.
  3. Click on the Settings tab.
  4. Change the screen resolution to a higher setting by sliding the bar under Screen area.
  5. Click the necessary options to apply the new settings.
    note:
The above steps are only a guideline. If additional assistance is required for changing screen resolutions, refer to the operating system user’s manual or your appropriate IT administrator.
  6. Open WebAccess and verify that all the options are now available as shown in figure 2 below.

    note:
The Other links heading should now include the following links: HP instant support, Technical support, Registration, Drivers, Accessories, and Solutions.
