Instructions
Prior to replacing or disposing of your defective unit, follow these instructions to ensure the correct accessories are removed from the defective HP Deskjet All-in-One printer.
  1. Make sure that the unit is plugged in and turned on before removing the print cartridges.
    Ink cartridges
    To remove the ink cartridges:
    • Open the cartridge access door and wait for the print carriage to move to the center of the HP Deskjet All-in-One printer.
    • Press down to release each ink cartridge and then remove it from the slot.
    • Pull each print cartridge toward you out of its slot.
        caution:
Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.
    • Close the print carriage access door.
      note:
If the cartridges are not going to be inserted in the replacement printer immediately, store them at room temperature inside a rigid sealed plastic container or a cartridge protector. Store the color cartridge with the nozzles DOWN and the black cartridge with the nozzles UP. This will help prevent the ink from drying out.

    a) Power supply adapter
    b) Power cord
    c) USB (Universal Serial Bus) cable
    d) Product manuals and CDs
  3. Keep the accessories mentioned above to use with the replacement product.
  4. Power on the replacement product and test all product functions.
