The HP bt1300 wireless printer adapter CD-ROM contains the HP bt1300 configuration utility and support documentation. The HP bt1300 startup screen has a selection for starting the HP bt1300 configuration utility, a link to the HP Mobile Printing for Pocket PC software Web site, support documentation, which has a link to the support Web site, and a link to HP registration.
In most cases, the HP bt1300 can be used right out of the box with factory defaults. Use the configuration utility to change the security options, set a friendly name or update the firmware. The product support Web page has the latest supported printer and client list, firmware, compatibility information, FAQs, troubleshooting information and support documentation. Installation instructions for Windows 98, 2000, Me, and XP
The HP bt1300 configuration utility must be run from a PC or laptop using SPP (Serial Port Profile).
  1. Load the HP bt1300 Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. The CD should start automatically and display a menu.
      note:
    If the CD fails to start automatically, click the Windows Start button, select Run, type D:\setup.exe, and then click OK to begin the installation process.
  2. From the CD menu, click Install Configuration Utility to begin the installation process. When the Welcome window appears, click Next to continue the installation process. Follow the prompts to install the software.

      note:
    To exit the installation process at any time before the installation is complete, click Cancel to stop the installation process.
