Lower the main input tray door, and then slide out the paper width guides as far as possible.

Load up to 10 sheets of plain paper with the print side facing up and the top edge toward the printer. If you are loading pre-punched paper, load the paper with the holes toward the left side of the tray.

Slide the paper guides until they rest against the edges of the stack of paper.

Press down on the output bin extension to open it, and then lower the output bin extender.

• If you loaded A4 or U.S. letter-size paper, close the main input tray door.
• If you loaded legal-size paper, do not close the main input tray door.

Before printing or copying, select the correct paper size and paper type settings from the control panel or computer.

Lower the main input tray door, and then slide out the paper width guides as far as possible.

Load up to 10 envelopes into the input tray with the print-side facing up and the flap-side facing down.

• If the envelope flap is on the short edge, position the envelope with the flap-side down, and then insert the short edge without a flap toward the printer.
• If the envelope flap is on the long edge of the envelope, insert the envelope with the flap-side positioned to the left side of the input tray.

Slide in the paper guides until they rest against the edges of the stack of envelopes.

Press down on the output bin extension to open it, and then lower the output bin extender.

Close the main input tray door.

Load up to 4 envelopes into the priority input tray with the print-side facing up and the flap-side facing down.

• If the envelope flap is on the short edge, position the envelopes with the flap-side down, and then insert the short edge without a flap toward the printer.
• If the envelope flap is on the long edge of the envelope, insert the envelopes with the flap-side positioned to the left side of the input tray.

Slide the paper width guides until they rest against the edges of the stack of envelopes.

Press down on the output bin extension to open it, and then lower the output bin extender.

Close the main input tray door.

Load a stack of labels with the print-side facing up into the main input tray, and then slide the stack forward until it stops.

Slide in the paper guides until they rest against the edges of the stack of labels.

Press down on the output bin extension to open it, and then lower the output bin extender.

Close the main input tray door.

Load up to 10 sheets of labels with the print side facing up and the top edge toward the printer.

Slide the paper width guides until they rest against the edges of the stack of labels.

Press down on the output bin extension to open it, and then lower the output bin extender.

Close the main input tray door.
