'System Main has Failed' error
A 'System Main has Failed' error displays on the control panel of a new HP LaserJet Enterprise or HP LaserJet Managed printer.
Solution
Follow these steps to clear the error or troubleshoot further as needed:

Select Restart on the printer control panel.

If the printer does not restart, use the power button on the front of the device to turn the printer off, and then on, and then continue to the next step.

If the device returns to a ready state, the issue is solved.

If the printer reboots to the error again, or if the error returns, take note of the actions being performed at the time that the error occurred, and then contact HP Inc. printer Support.
