HP JetAdvantage On Demand - Sharing your administrative privileges with a reseller or other user outside of your company

Overview
HP JetAdvantage On Demand’s admin delegation feature allows the company admin user to share print administration duties with a reseller or other user outside their company.
Once you have shared your admin privileges, the reseller or user outside of your company will be able to perform basic HP JetAdvantage On Demand administrative duties on your behalf. The following lists some of the basic functions a reseller can and cannot do.
Resellers CAN:
  • Easily switch between customer accounts with one login.
  • Remotely administer customer licensing for apps.
  • Track customer trials, licenses, and usage.
  • Monitor renewal opportunities.
Resellers CANNOT:
  • Be in the same company account as the company administrator who is delegating the administrative duties.
  • Delete accounts they have been delegated to administer.
  • Add additional company admins to existing customer accounts.
  • Add additional delegated admin users.
  • Change their own user profile information while logged in to another company’s account.
Share your admin privileges with a reseller or other user outside of your company
To share your admin privileges with a reseller or user outside of your company, complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to your HP JetAdvantage On Demand account, and go to Manage Delegated Admins.
  2. Click Add delegated admin, and enter the email address of the reseller or other user outside of your company that you wish to share HP JetAdvantage On Demand admin privileges with.
  3. Click Send or Send & New (if you have other resellers or users you want to share your admin privileges with).
  4. Once the email recipient accepts the invitation, the Status changes to Active.
The reseller or user outside of your company can now administer your HP JetAdvantage On Demand account.
Delegating admin duties for HP JetAdvantage Insights
For another company to administer your Insights account, either you, the company admin user, or the delegated admin in the other company must first complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to HP JetAdvantage On Demand.
  2. Go to App Management, and select HP JetAdvantage Insights — EU.
  3. Click Manage Users.
  4. Locate the company you have delegated access to, and select the check box (under Allow Access). Click Save to save your changes.
The delegated admin in the other company can now access and administer your Insights account.
