HP PageWide 377, 477, 577 - Received fax jobs are canceled unexpectedly

Issue
Received fax jobs are canceled without warning or notification if the Input Auto Continue Timeout (IACT) Action is set to Cancel. The fax sender will have received a fax confirmation message, but the receiver does not receive the message (i.e. a printed fax) and the fax might not be stored on the printer.
Cause
The Input Auto Continue function is provided in the product preferences settings to allow an Administrator to specify the action the printer will take when the paper configured for the print job does not match the paper loaded in the input tray.
If the Input Auto Continue Timeout has been changed from the default setting of Wait Forever to time out after a specified number of minutes (can be set from 5 to 60), incoming print jobs, including received fax print jobs, will be canceled if not acted upon by a user within the specified timeout period.
Solution
To prevent received fax jobs from being canceled without warning or notification, follow the steps below to set the Input Auto Continue Timeout to Wait Forever.
  1. Navigate to the Embedded Web Server (EWS) for the device.
To access the EWS, you must have the printer's IP address. If you do not have the printer's IP address or if you do not know how to access the EWS, use the following steps:
    1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Dashboard strip at the top of the screen, or swipe the dashboard tab downward. The full dashboard will display.
        note:
If you are not already on the Home screen, touch the Home button () to return to the Home screen.
    2. At the top of the Dashboard, touch the Network icon () to display the printer's IP address.
    3. Open a Web browser on your computer, and in the address line, type the IP address as it displays on the printer control panel, and then press Enter on the keyboard. The EWS will open.

        note:
If the Web browser displays a "There is a problem with this website's security certificate" message when attempting to open the EWS, click Continue to this website (not recommended). Choosing Continue to this website (not recommended) will not harm the computer while navigating within the EWS for the HP printer.
  2. On the EWS page, click Settings, and then click Preferences on the left navigation pane to expand the list of options.
  3. Click Tray and Paper Management, and then click Advanced.
  4. On the Advanced page, under Input Auto Continue Settings, set the Input Auto Continue Timeout to Wait Forever, and then click Apply.
