DESCRIPTION
The HP Hotkey Support status messages for the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys may interfere with custom macros setup in other programs.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, edit the Windows registry to change the default settings of HP Hokey Support.
WARNING! Before changing the registry, make a backup copy. To make a backup, open the Registry Editor, then click File > Export.
  1. Open Notepad.
  2. Copy the following text, then paste into a blank text document:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BTConfig\General]
    "KeyIndication"=dword:00000000
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Hewlett-Packard\HP Software Framework]
    "AllowToasterNotification"="False"
  3. Save the text file with a *.reg extension (for example, toaster.reg).

  4. Double-click the file to apply the changes to the registry.
