HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color M551 Printer Series - 99.09.66 Out of Box Error

Issue:
When powering on the device for the first time after unpacking, error 99.09.66 error is displayed on the control panel. Error 99.09.66 means either the solid state memory drive or the hard disk drive is missing, which in this case has become dislodged during shipping.
Solution
Instructions for Solid State Memory drive:
  1. Turn the device off and unplug from the outlet.

  2. Remove all cables from the back of the device.

  3. Unscrew the two screws.

  4. Remove the formatter by pulling it towards you.

  5. Unlock locking mechanism and reinstall solid state memory drive.

    Once you have the solid state memory drive securely in place, reinstall the formatter back into the device. Screw both screws tightly in place. Re-attach all cables and power the device on.

  1. Turn the device off and unplug from the outlet.

  2. Remove all cables from the back of the device.

  3. Unscrew the two screws.

  4. Remove the formatter by pulling it towards you.

  5. Remove the hard disk drive by releasing the tab.

  6. Slide hard disc drive out of the connector.

    Reinsert the hard drive into connector and lock into place. Reinstall formatter into device. Screw two screws tightly into place. Re-attached all cables. Power the device on.
