Memory information
The HP DesignJet 750C Plus printer comes with 8 megabytes (MB) of usable memory for printing and 3 MB of memory for printer settings/functions (Not Printing), for a total of 11 MB of standard on-board memory. The memory can be expanded by adding memory expansion modules to the two RAM expansion slots on the printer. Each slot can hold single in-line memory modules (SIMM) in any combination of either 4 MB, 8 MB, 16 MB, or 32 MB.
The maximum standard memory for this printer is:
11 + 32 + 32 = 75 MB

Reliability (MTBF, usage rate)
Replaceable print cartridge(s)
Replaceable print cartridge(s) have been used in the printer, greatly reducing its maintenance requirements, as these are the components that experience the greatest wear and tear.
Under normal use, the black cartridge will probably more often need replacing than the color cartridges.
Printer cleaning
Cleaning is limited to the outside of the machine. Use a damp sponge or a soft cloth and household cleaner.
  warning:
To avoid an electric shock, verify that that the printer is switched off and unplugged before cleaning it. Do not let water get inside the printer.
  caution:
Do not use abrasive cleaners on the printer.
Any maintenance or repairs beyond this should be done by a qualified service technician.
"Normal" printer use
"Normal" printer use means less than
  • 20 pages per day (if medium-density E/A0 CAD plots), or
  • 12 pages per day (if medium-density E/A0 image prints).
If the drawings are smaller than E/A0, the number of pages per day can be higher.
If the printer is used less than this, it is unlikely it will need servicing. If using the printer more than this, it is possible that, after a time, it will need to be serviced. The printer itself keeps an internal count of total pages printed and total passes of the cartridge carriage. If the front panel periodically displays Status: Maintenance Advised, this means that the use of the printer has exceeded one of the following warranty limits:
  • either 20,000 pages printed
  • or 4,500,000 passes of the cartridge carriage.
Contact the local HP dealer or HP service engineer to arrange to have the printer serviced. After servicing, the message will disappear. If selecting not to have the printer serviced, the printer may continue to be used as normal, but it may encounter a number of operational or print-quality problems.
It is possible to check the current count of pages printed and passes of cartridge carriage by printing the Service Configuration Plot.
To print the service configuration plot
  1. Verify that media are loaded.
  2. In the Full Menu mode, select the Utilities menu.
  3. Select the Service Config option and press Enter.
