HP is enhancing the BIOS on the following HP 2023 notebook PCs.

Effective December 05, 2023, HP is enhancing the BIOS on the HP 2023 notebook PCs.

The new software and BIOS updates are available for download from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page after the effective date.

HP ZBook Fury 16 inch G10 Mobile Workstation PC System BIOS (V96) has the following enhancements added:

Fixes issue when FUR GUI reports “Incorrect password was entered” when BIOS is flashed with correct password after setting up BEAM and BIOS admin password.
Fixes an issue when there is blue screen of death (BSOD) error code “Unsupported Processor” after Windows update.
Fixes an issue when the external monitor cannot be detected, if the monitor is plugged in and out when the system is in hibernation, and then resumes again.
Fixes an issue when the monitor with VGA port cannot be detected, if the system resumes from power-off state with USB-C to VGA dongle connected.
Fixes an issue when the client unit cannot be locked after a FLIP process to lock the client unit on Techpulse server, and then resume the client from Hibernate.
Adds HTTPS support for Sure Recover in pre-boot environment for OS recovery.
Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2023-25756 and CVE-2023-22329.

HP EliteBook 630 G10 Notebook PC System BIOS (V74) and HP EliteBook 640/650 G10 Notebook PC System BIOS (V75) have the following enhancements added:

Fixes an issue when sometimes there is an "Intel(R) Thunderbolt Retimer Firmware Update failed" message during BIOS flashing.
Fixes up an issue when the system cannot auto power on from Hibernate or shut down when the AC adapter is plugged in, the F10 setting “Power On When AC Detected” is set to enabled, and “Battery Health Manager” to “Maximize my battery health”.
