HP is adding fixes to the BIOS on the following HP 2020 desktop PCs.

HP April 2021 BIOS Refresh (for 2020 Desktop PCs)

Effective June 8, 2021, HP is enhancing the BIOS on the HP 2020 desktop PCs. The new updates are being made available for download from the HP software and drivers page for the product.

HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Tower/ 800 G6 Small Form Factor System BIOS has the following enhancements added:

  • Support for RTX3070 graphic card.

  • Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2020-8703, CVE-2020-8704, CVE-2020-24506, and CVE-2020-24507.

  • Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2020-24512 and CVE-2020-24511.

  • Updated SIO Firmware v9.8.17.

  • Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2020-8700.

  • Support for Audio Codec ALC897.

  • The IPv6 during UEFI Boot feature in F10 setup interface for the customer to disable IPv6 during preboot phase.

  • Fixes the issue of the Security Device Error message that displays unexpectedly after enabling Power-on Password.

  • Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2020-8703, CVE-2020-8704, CVE-2020-24506, and CVE-2020-24507.

  • Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2020-24512 and CVE-2020-24511.

  • Updated SIO Firmware v9.8.17.

  • Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2020-8700.

  • The IPv6 during UEFI Boot feature in F10 setup interface for the customer to disable IPv6 during preboot phase.
