HP recommends uninstalling or disabling HP Velocity.
For Microsoft Windows OS
Use one of the following methods to remove HP Velocity from systems running a Windows OS:
Method 1: Windows Programs & Features
- Open Windows Control Panel.

Select
View by: Large icons (or Small icons).

Click
Programs & Features.

Locate
HP Velocity.
-
Right-click
HP Velocity, and then click
Uninstall.
- Follow prompts to complete the uninstallation.
Method 2: Loud uninstall via command line
Locate the setup.exe file in the HP Velocity install directory and execute this command:
setup.exe /u. For example:
C:\SWSETUP\APP\APPLICATIONS\LiveQos\HPVelocity\Src\
Setup.exe /u
Method 3: Silent uninstall via command line with log file
Locate the setup.exe file in the HP Velocity install directory and execute this command:
setup.exe /u /qn /1-<log file name>. For example:
C:\SWSETUP\APP\APPLICATIONS\LiveQos\HPVelocity\Src\
setup.exe /u /qn /1-RemLogFile.txt
For HP ThinPro OS
HP Velocity cannot be removed from ThinPro but it can be disabled in the image using the following commands (depending on the OS version and version of HP Velocity):
For ThinPro 5.2 with the default HP Velocity (2.1.3)
fsunlock
rm /lib/modules/3.8.13-hp/kernel/net/ipv4/hp-velocity-wireless.ko
rm /lib/modules/3.8.13-hp/kernel/net/ipv4/hp-velocity-wired.ko
rm /lib/modules/3.8.13-hp/kernel/net/ipv4/hp-velocity-ppp.ko
depmod -a
fslock
reboot
For ThinPro 5.2 with upgraded HP Velocity (3.1.0)
fsunlock
rm /lib/modules/3.8.13-hp/kernel/net/ipv4/hp-velocity.ko
depmod –a
fslock
reboot
For ThinPro 6.1 with the default HP Velocity (2.1.3)
fsunlock

HP Velocity is present but disabled in ThinPro 7.0 by default. It has been removed completely beginning with ThinPro 7.1.
