Samsung ProXpress Color SL-C4010, SL-C4012 - Samsung Cloud Print

Samsung Cloud Print is a free cloud service that allows users to print or scan from a smartphone or tablet to a printer or MFP. After installing the Samsung Cloud Print app, users can register with the Samsung Cloud Print service just using their mobile number for authentication. No other account login is required, although users can link the app to their Samsung Account if they wish.

note:
When users press the button from Samsung Cloud Print app, connect the mobile device to a printer or MFP by using Wi-Fi, touching the Near Field Communication (NFC) tag, scanning the QR code, or manually entering the printer's MAC address. Once paired, users can print or scan from anywhere and everywhere.

Registering a printer to the Samsung Cloud server

To register the printer on the Samsung Cloud Print service, users must activate the Samsung Cloud Print feature on the printer through the mobile device or SyncThru™ Web Service.

Registering a printer from an application on mobile device

If the printer supports easy setup, users can use Samsung Cloud Print directly without any additional configuration after registering a printer using Wi-Fi. The following steps are an example of using the Samsung Cloud Print app from Android mobile phone.
  1. Open the Samsung Cloud Print app.
    note:
    If users do not have the Samsung Cloud Print app installed on a cellphone, go to the application store (Samsung Apps, Play Store, App Store) on the mobile device, and search for, then download, the app and try again.
  2. Press the button from Samsung Cloud Print app.
  3. Connect the mobile device to a printer or MFP by using Wi-Fi, touching the Near Field Communication (NFC) tag, scanning the QR code, or manually entering the printer's MAC address.

Registering from web browser

note:
Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to a wired or wireless network that has access to the Internet.
  1. Check whether the printer is connected to the network.
  2. Start a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Safari, or Firefox and enter the printer’s new IP address in the browser window.

  3. Click Login in the upper right of the SyncThru™ Web Service website.
  4. Type in the ID and Password, then click Login. If it is the first-time logging into SyncThru™ Web Service, type in the below default ID and password. We recommend changing the default password for security reasons.
    • ID: admin
    • Password: sec00000
  5. When the SyncThru™ Web Service window opens, click Settings > Network Settings > Samsung Cloud Print.
  6. Select Samsung Cloud Print Public in the Operation Mode.
    • If a dialog box appears asking for permission to use the user's personal information, click Privacy Policy to review the terms and conditions. Select the check box indicating agreement to the terms, and then click Yes. When the dialog box closes, click Apply.
    • Web Connected Services is enabled automatically.
    note:
    If Web Connected Services has been disabled, users cannot connect to the cloud service. To enable Web Connected Services, go to Security > System Security > Feature Management and select the Enable check box.
  7. Now the printer is registered with Samsung Cloud Print service.

Using Samsung Cloud Print

Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to a wired or wireless network that has access to the Internet.

Printing from an application on a mobile device

The following steps are an example of using the Samsung Cloud Print app from an Android mobile phone.
  1. Open the Samsung Cloud Print app.
    note:
    If users do not have the Samsung Cloud Print app installed on a cellphone, go to the application store (Samsung Apps, Play Store, App Store) on the mobile device, and search for, then download, the app and try again.
  2. Tap the option check button of the appropriate document to print.
  3. Set the appropriate printing options.
  4. Tap Send Job.
