HP ENVY 6200, 7100, 7800 Printers - Loading Paper, Cards, Envelopes

This document is for HP ENVY Photo 6220, 6230, 6232, 6234, 6252, 6255, 7120, 7130, 7134, 7155, 7158, 7164, 7820, 7830, 7855, 7858, and 7864 All-in-One printers.

Load plain paper, legal size paper, photo paper, envelopes, and postcards in the paper tray.

caution:
To avoid printing issues, never load multiple types of paper in the paper tray or attempt to load paper while the printer is printing.

Load plain letter, A4, or legal paper

Load plain U.S. letter, A4, or legal paper into the main paper tray.

Pull out the paper tray, and then slide the paper-width guides outward.
To load legal or larger-sized paper, push the latch up to unlock and open the front of the tray.
Load the stack of paper until it stops at the back of the tray, and then slide the paper-width guides in until they lightly rest against the edges of the paper.
Push the paper tray back in.
Select or confirm the paper size you loaded on the control panel display.

Load 10 cm x 15 cm (4 in x 6 in), 13 cm x 18 cm (5 in x 7 in) photo paper or cards

Load smaller photo paper and card sizes in the photo paper tray.

Pull out the main paper tray and the photo tray, and then slide the paper-width guides outward.
Load a stack of photo paper or cards print side down until it stops at the back of the tray.
Slide the paper-width guides in until they lightly rest against the edges of the paper.
Push the photo paper tray back in, and then push the main paper tray back in.
Select or confirm the paper size you loaded on the control panel display.

Load envelopes

Load envelopes in the main paper tray.

Pull out the paper tray, and then slide the paper-width guides outward.
Load the stack of envelopes print side down in the center of the tray based on the location of the flap.
- Flap on short edge: Flap facing out
- Flap on long edge: Flap facing left
Slide the paper-width guides in until they lightly rest against the edges of the envelopes.
Push the paper tray back in.
Select or confirm the envelope size you loaded on the control panel display.

Load 20 cm x 25 cm (8 in x 10 in) or larger panoramic photo paper

Load large and panoramic photo paper in the main paper tray.

Pull out the paper tray, and then slide the paper-width guides outward.
Load the stack of photo paper print side down until it stops at the back of the tray, and then slide the paper-width guides in until they lightly rest against the edges of the paper.
Push the paper tray back in.
Select or confirm the paper size you loaded on the control panel display.
