HP LaserJet Enterprise M806, M855, M830 MFP, and M880 MFP - 3,500-Sheet high-capacity input (HCI) feeder right tray

Introduction

This document provides the procedures to remove and replace the 3,500-sheet high-capacity input (HCI) feeder right tray for the HP LaserJet Enterprise M806, HP LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M830, HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow M855, and HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M880.

Before you begin
  • Use the table below to identify the correct kit part number for your product, and then go to www.hp.com/buy/parts to order the kit.

    CZ244-67903 (M806 and M830)
    3,500-sheet high-capacity input (HCI) feeder right tray kit with instruction guide
    C1N64-67903 (M855 and M880)
    3,500-sheet high-capacity input (HCI) feeder right tray kit with instruction guide
Required tools
  • No special tools are required to install this kit.

Step 1 - Remove the HCI Right Tray

  1. Do the following:
    1. Turn off the product.
    2. Disconnect the power cord.
        warning:
      Turn the product off, wait five seconds, and then remove the power cord before attempting to service the product.
  2. Open the right tray, and remove any paper in the tray, if necessary.

  3. Lower the tray release lever (callout 1), and then remove the right tray (callout 2).

Step 2 - Unpack the Replacement HCI Right Tray

Unpack the replacement HCI right tray from the packaging.
note:
HP recommends responsible disposal of the defective HCI tray.

Step 3 - Install the Replacement HCI Right Tray

  1. Align the rails of the tray with the guides in the HCI, and insert the tray into the product.
    note:
    The tray release lever will raise to the locked position when the tray is fully closed.
