PCL font 84 causes 49 error with PostScript drivers on Mac OSX 10.4,10.5,10.6,10.7 & 10.8

If end user change the default PCL font to font number 84 on printer EWS, then every print job sent from a Mac (All versions) using the standard PostScript driver causes a 49 error on the printer which automatically reboots the printer.

Follow the below steps to resolve the issue:
1. Go to > System Preferences and remove the original drivers.
2. Open Print & Scan > Add Printer > Select IP > Under Protocol: Select Internet Printing Protocol as the protocol > Enter the Printer IP > and Click Add.
