HP Officejet J3600 All-in-One Series - Horizontal Streaks or Lines in the Printed Image

Issue
The product is working, but the printout shows streaks or lines. The lines are perpendicular to the direction the paper moved through the product.

Solution
HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP ink. If the ink cartridges have been refilled, try replacing them with genuine HP ink cartridges.
  1. Follow these steps to open the product Toolbox.
    1. Click Start, click All Programs, click HP, and then click HP Solution Center.
    2. If there is more than one product installed on the computer, make sure that the correct product is selected in HP Solution Center.
    3. Click Settings, and then click Printer Toolbox.
  2. On the Features tab, click Printer Services, and then click Clean the Printheads. Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the printheads.

    3. Click Settings and then click Printer Toolbox.
  2. On the Features tab, click Printer Services, and then click Align the Printheads. Follow the on-screen instructions to align the printheads.
Step four: Service the product
Service or replace your HP product if you completed all preceding steps.
To see if your product is still under warranty, go to the warranty check website http://www.support.hp.com/checkwarranty. Contact HP Support to schedule a repair or replacement. If you are in Asia Pacific, Contact HP Support to find a local service center in your area.
Repair fees might apply for out-of-warranty products.
