HP Designjet Printers - Microsoft(R) Windows XP Add New Hardware Wizard Continually Activates at Start-up

Issue:
Whenever the Microsoft® Windows XP operating system is restarted; the Add New Hardware Wizard pops up, even though the printer driver is already installed and working properly.
Solution
Follow the steps below:
  1. Remove all CD's from the PC.
  2. Shut down and restart the PC.
  3. Allow the Add New Hardware Wizard to start up.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Instruct Windows to Find the driver.
  6. When instructed to insert a floppy, insert the MacroInstaller CD.
  7. Select the CD-ROM drive in the available window (do not designate a path).
  8. Allow the Add New Hardware Wizard to complete.
  9. The operating system should now start up without displaying the Add New Hardware Wizard.
