This package contains utilities that can be used to restore or update the system BIOS on the supported desktop models with a 786C1 BIOS.Several methods for changing the BIOS version may be chosen. Included in this package are the following methods:- Create a ROMpaq bootable BIOS upgrade/restore diskette.- Use HPQFlash to upgrade the BIOS directly in a Microsoft Windows environment.- Create a ROMpaq bootable BIOS upgrade/restore CD.This package can be used with System Software Manager (SSM), HP Client Manager Software (HPCMS), or preboot execution environment (PXE) management software for remote updating of the BIOS.NOTE: To determine the BIOS family and BIOS date, press F10 on the target computer during system Power On to run the Setup Utility, and then select File/System Information. This information can be saved into a text file on a diskette or on a USB flash media device by selecting File/Save to Diskette. In order for a USB flash media device to be recognized by the system, the device must be attached before the computer is Powered On.
