DESCRIPTION
The following error message appears when installing the Intel i219 NIC driver:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Assertion Failed
The issue occurs when Chinese is selected as the language for Windows AND the username is also in Chinese. It does not occur if the language is anything other than Chinese or if the username is not Chinese.

SCOPE

  • Intel I219 NIC driver is version 12.15.25.6 (or later).
  • System OS and user account both are Chinese.
