DESCRIPTION
Intel Smart Connect Technology User Interface does not appear after being re-installed on a computer with double-byte language (i.e. - Chinese, Japanese, Korean), if the Windows Username has been entered in a double-byte language. This issue only occurs if the Microsoft Windows Username has been entered in a double-byte language and an HP SoftPaq or DRDVD is used to reinstall Intel Smart Connect Technology within the Username folder or a sub folder of the Username folder.

RESOLUTION
Do not use a double-byte named folder to store the Intel Smart Connect Technology setup folder or installation files. The HP SoftPaq will install the Intel Smart Connect Technology software at C:\SWSETUP\SPxxxx (where xxxx is the SoftPaq number).
