HP Scanjet N6310 Document Flatbed Scanner - Procedure for Creating Shortcuts/Profiles Within HP Scanning Application


The document provides information on creating scan shortcuts within the HP Scanning application for faster and easy access to individual profiles.


Launch the HP Scanning application for HP Scanjet N6310 Document Flatbed Scanner to bring up the following window on the computer screen as shown in the picture below:

Click the Options menu to bring up the Manage Scan Shortcuts sub-menu.

The following sub-menu window brings up when click the Manage Scan Shortcuts Settings available under Manage Scan Shortcuts.

Scan Type: This drop-down menu allows to select the scan source as either glass or feeder.

Advanced Document Settings: Click the Advanced Document Settings button to bring up the following window.
The following settings can be configured from the Advanced Document Settings window:
  • Output Resolution (ppi)
  • Sharpen
  • Automatically Crop Scanned Documents
  • Automatically remove blank pages (from feeder)
  • Scan both sides of the original (Duplex)
  • OCR Language

Output Type: This drop-down menu allows selecting the output type - Color, Grayscale, and Black and White.

Scan To: Allows selecting the destination (folder or application) to send the scan documents to.

File Type: Allows selecting/changing the file type to save the scanned documents.

Save to File save Options: Allows configuring the following options - File Type, Base File Name, Save Location and Prompt for these Save Options at time of scan.
