HP Designjet 130 Printer Series - Usage Report Data Storage

The usage report data is temporarily stored as a variable in the volatile memory. The usage data is transferred to the EEROM to be stored permanently every 20 prints, or when the printer is powered off (using power button). This two step storing process prevents overloading the EEROM due to heavy storing cycles.
If the printer gets unplugged or has a power shut down, the volatile memory gets lost, which includes any usage data that hasn't yet been transferred to the EEROM to be stored.
Below is an example of how this scenario might affect the accuracy of the usage report:
  • 53 prints stored and reported in the last usage report
  • 5 additional pages are printed and a new usage report lists 58
  • Another 5 pages are printed, and printer is unplugged
  • When plugged back in and powered on, the usage report will list 53 prints
  • The last 10 pages are not reported as they had not yet been tranferred to the EEROM
