Effective December 17, 2021, HP is enhancing the BIOS on HP 2015 Notebook PCs. The new updates are being made available for download from the HP software and drivers page for the product.

HP EliteBook 850, 840, 820 G3 Notebook PC and HP ZBook 15u G3 Mobile Workstation System BIOS has the following enhancements added:

  • Fixes an issue when an error message pops up (0x8007054F) while enabling Power-On Authentication, if the account name is longer than 11 characters.

  • Enhancement to address the security vulnerability CVE-2021-0127.

  • Enhancement to address the security vulnerabilities CVE-2021-0156, CVE-2021-0157.

  • Enhancement to address the security vulnerability CVE-2021-33107.

HP ZBook Studio G3 Mobile Workstation System BIOS and HP ZBook 17 and 15 G3 Mobile Workstation System BIOS has the following enhancements added:

  • Fixes an issue when an error message pops up (0x8007054F) while enabling Power-On Authentication, if the account name is longer than 11 characters.

  • Enhancement to address the security vulnerability CVE-2021-0127.

  • Enhancement to address the security vulnerabilities CVE-2021-0156, CVE-2021-0157.

  • Enhancement to address the security vulnerability CVE-2021-33107.
