Use the following procedure to clear a staple jam. When a jam occurs, the control panel displays a message and an animation that assists in clearing the jam.

Open the stapler door.
note:
Opening the stapler door disables the stapler.Figure : Open the stapler door

Remove the staple cartridge from the printer.Figure : Remove the staple cartridge

Lift-up on the small lever at the back of the staple cartridge. Remove the jammed staples.Figure : Open the staple cartridge and remove the jammed staples

Close the lever at the back of the staple cartridge. Be sure that it snaps into place.Figure : Close the lever on the staple cartridge

Reinsert the staple cartridge into the opening inside the stapler door.Figure : Reinsert the staple cartridge
