DESCRIPTION
Forcing the computer to power off by pressing and holding the power button takes 10 seconds although some computers power off after only 5 seconds. This can cause some confusion if you are accustomed to the latter experience.
The 10-second power off interval applies to computers that support the connected standby power state.
