  9. Advanced ECC uses single device data correction (SDDC) to detect and correct single and all multi-bit error that occurs within a single DRAM chip. Both x4 and x8 SDDC are supported (x8 requires lockstep mode).
  10. Memory online spare mode (also known as rank spare mode) detects a rank that is degrading and switches operation to the spare rank.
  11. Memory Lockstep mode is used to correct a single x8 DRAM device failure on a DIMM. The DIMMs in each paired memory channel must have identical HP part numbers.
  12. The DL380z Gen8 Virtual Workstation supports only RDIMM. If only one processor is installed, only half the DIMM slots are available. Depending on the memory configuration and processor model, the memory speed may run at 1866 MHz, 1600 MHz, 1333 MHz, or 1066 MHz.
  13. P420i controller comes with no cache memory options. For cache module options for this controller, use P/N 631679-B21 or 631681-B21.
  14. All Virtual Workstation Graphics options will require one or two graphics PCIe Riser cages to be configured.
