HP EliteBook 2760p Tablet PC - Removing and Replacing the Service Door

Introduction

This document is provided to assist in removing and replacing the service door for the HP EliteBook 2760p Tablet PC.

Minimum skill level

The End User requires no hardware-specific training to replace the defective part. The End user should have familiarity with system hardware and software requiring repair.

Tools required

Small, Phillips-head P1 screwdriver

Service door removal

  1. Review the safety considerations before performing the steps listed below by clicking on the following link:
      caution:
    Failure to comply with the precautions could result in damage to your product or loss of data.
    Observe all precautions when removing and replacing components.
  2. Loosen three captive P1 Phillips-head screws that secure the service door to the base enclosure.
  3. Lift the screw-end of service door and remove it.

Service door replacement

  1. Toe the tabs on the service door into the openings on the base enclosure.
  2. Lower the service door into position aligned with the screw holes.
  3. Tighten the three captive P1 Phillips-head screws to secure the service door to the base enclosure.
