HP Notebook PCs - Invalid UUID after System Board Replacement

Description

After replacing your system board, the BIOS fails to generate a valid universal unique identifier (UUID). It displays all zeros.

Solution

If your notebook PC has a string of zeros in the BIOS under the Notebook Serial Number field, contact HP Support or an Authorized Service Partner for assistance.
The HP Solution ID number above can be referenced in the Troubleshoot A Problem section of the HP Help and Support Center for Notebook PCs. Install the latest version of HP's customized Help and Support Center now (English Only).
