HP iPAQ GPS Nav System - How Long Will It Take Me to Have My Location Recognized?

Issue:
How long will it take me to have my location recognized?
Solution
The first time the GPS receiver is used it takes approximately five minutes to acquire a fix (but may take as long as 15 minutes). Once initialized, the unit should acquire satellite signals in 90 seconds or less in the future. When the GPS unit is first initialized it can take several minutes for the receiver to locate the satellites in orbit. Be sure that the GPS receiver has an unobstructed view of the sky. Trees, buildings, and other obstacles are capable of blocking the satellite signal. Also make sure to have the time and date properly set on your Pocket PC.
