Automatic features

Length and width detection allows the HP Photosmart 100 printer to determine the print mode. This print-mode sensing is enabled primarily by detecting the presence or absence of the .5-inch photo tab. The printer will automatically scale, rotate and crop the user’s pictures to fit the chosen media by using:

LCD

The LCD is divided into two sections:
  • The status (top) section is black with white icons.

LEDs

There are four LEDs. This types can be broken into two categories: status and operational. For detailed information, refer to Chapter 3 - User Interface of the printer User’s Guide. There is no interaction with the operational LEDs.
