Note: This process can only update a Teams Rooms device with the Teams Rooms app already installed. It can't be used to perform
a new installation. It also can't be used to downgrade the app to an older version.
Download the offline app update script:
As best practice, we recommend performing the following on the Teams Room computer system if available and connected to the
network.
- On the Microsoft Teams Rooms console, select More.
- Select Settings.
Note: An Admin password is required to access the Admin settings.
- Select Windows Settings.
- Select Administrator.
Note: An Admin password is required to access as Administrator.
- Open a network web browser and access the following link:

Update the Teams Rooms app:

It is very important to have the Skype account active but with diconnected session, for the update.
- If the Skype account is running, then continue point 2, if no then perfomrm the following:
- Sign out from the computer as Administrator.
- Sign in back as a Skype user.
- Connect a Keyboard to the computer.
- Click 5 times on the keyboard Windows button.
- The sign in page will pop up.
- Select Administrator.
Note: An Admin password is required to access as Administrator.
- Open Command Prompts as Administrator.
- Past the following code:

PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted "<path to script>"

- Allow the script to run, it may takes up to 4 min.
- Check the output from the script - it will indicate if the script did or did not complete successfully.
- If the script completes successfully, the Teams Rooms device will run the updated version of the Teams Rooms app on next reboot.
- If the script encounters a problem, it will indicate what the problem is on the command line and record its output to a file.
Follow any instructions that the script provides. If you need to contact Microsoft Support, make sure to include the log file
along with the support request.
