    HP is aware of the recent vulnerabilities commonly referred to as "Spectre" and "Meltdown". HP has published a security bulletin with patches for these issues and a list of impacted systems. We will continue to update the bulletin as more information becomes available and encourage customers to check the bulletin frequently.

DETAILS OF CHANGE
  • Improved the security of the UEFI code and variables. HP strongly recommends promptly transitioning to this updated BIOS version which supersedes all previous releases. NOTE: Due to security changes, after this BIOS update is installed, previous versions cannot be reinstalled
  • Fixed an intermittent issue where the Intel AMT SOL port may disappear after running it.
  • Corrected language translations in F10 (BIOS) Setup for the Japanese language.
  • Corrected reported UEFI version to display 2.3.1.
  • Added extra comments in the F10 (BIOS) Setup when changing the Sure Start policy.
  • Fixed an issue where the BIOS auto-crisis recovery may not run again after recovery has been completed.
  • Fixed an intermittent issue where the computer may blue screen after closing and then opening the computer lid.
