System BIOS Update F.47 for HP EliteBook Revolve 810

Release date : 18-Nov-2013

Last updated : 18-Nov-2013

DETAILS OF CHANGE
  • Provides support for Micron MT41K512M8RH-125 RAM memory modules.
  • Fixed an intermittent issue where the computer would hang when booting with certain USB head sets attached to the USB 3.0 port.
  • Fixed an issue where the computer would not be able to complete a UEFI PXE boot if Secure Boot was enabled.
  • Added support for Intel Indonesia Jackson Peak WLAN cards.
  • Added independent enable/disable support for GPS and WWAN devices under the F10 (BIOS) Setup System Configuration > Built-in Devices menu and through the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) interface.
  • Fixed an issue where the right alt and right ctrl keys from a USB keyboard would not work properly in the preboot operating system environment.
  • Fixed an issue where, while in MS-DOS or in the preboot environment, the shift key or ctrl key would behave as if they were being continuously pressed after being pressed only once.
  • Fixed an intermittent issue where some batteries may fail to charge if they have previously discharged for long periods of time.
  • Provides the new PXE code version 1.4.10.
  • Adjusted the speed of the computer cooling fan to support the new Thermal Table. This will reduce fan noise while computer is in use.

REASON FOR CHANGE
Quarterly refresh for the factory and Web release.
IMPACT OF CHANGE
  • To avoid compatibility issues on computers with Micron MT41K512M8RH-125 RAM memory modules, do not downgrade the BIOS to any version older than F.47.
  • Adjusted the speed of the computer cooling fan to support the new Thermal Table: This action will lower the operational sound level of the fan, increasing user comfort.
  • User will have the capability to disable/enable the GPS and WWAN card independently from the F10 (BIOS) Setup and from the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) interface. However, disabling the GPS under the F10 (BIOS) Setup does not have any impact under Windows 8 operating system.
