DESCRIPTION
Using the AMD Catalyst Control Center to switch the graphics from the discrete graphics processing unit (dGPU) to the integrated graphics processing unit (iGPU) may cause the computer to lock up when trying to resume from the Suspended or Hibernation states.

RESOLUTION
Use the Computer Setup (BIOS) menu instead of the AMD Catalyst Control Center to disable the dGPU. Complete the following procedure:
  1. Turn on or restart the computer, and then press esc while the "Press the ESC key for Startup Menu" message is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Press F10 to enter Computer Setup.
  3. Select System Configuration.
  4. Select Device Configuration.
  5. Uncheck Switchable Graphics.
  6. Save and exit the BIOS.
