Tips for printing photos

  • Note that all photos emailed with HP ePrint will print at a default size of 4 x 6 inches (101.6 x 152.4 mm).
  • If the printer does not have a separate photo paper tray, make sure that photo paper is the only paper loaded in the tray when printing photos.
  • Make sure that digital images have a high enough resolution, or dpi (dots per inch). Image files (jpeg, bmp, tiff, etc.) need to be at least 100 dpi when printing with HP ePrint via email.
    note:
If you try to send a photo that is less than 100 dpi, it will not print. Instead, a “Failed” message will display in the job history at HP Connected. To print a photo or image that is less than 100 dpi, insert the image file into a Word document before emailing.
  • Make sure that image attachments are smaller than the 5 MB (megabyte) limit.
