HP DraftMaster Plotters - Optical Line Sensor

Issue:
How often the optical line sensor checks for line quality on the HP DraftMaster plotter.
note:
Line Quality Sensing is available only on the HP DraftMaster SX, RX, and MX Plus plotters.
Solution
The sensor automatically checks line quality each time that a new pen is selected. After initial line quality sensing, the sensing frequency is based on a user-defined setting. The default quality sensing rate is every 4 meters. The sensing rate is increased, decreased, or disabled by selecting the Pen Setting option from the front panel of the HP DraftMaster SX, RX, or MX Plus plotter.
Summary
To increase the sensitivity of the sensor in finding line errors:
  1. Select the front panel Pen Setting option.
  2. Respond (Yes) to Qualify Pens.
