What is HP ePrint?

HP ePrint is a free mobile printing feature from HP that allows you to print documents or photos over the Internet by sending an email directly from the email-capable device (laptop, netbook, notebook, phone, smart phone or other mobile device, etc.) to an email address assigned to the Web-connected HP printer.
With HP ePrint, you can print from any location at anytime without being restricted to a local wireless network. If you have access to the internet and can send an email, you can use HP ePrint.

Print with HP ePrint

After you have set up HP ePrint, you can print documents and photos from any mobile device (such as a phone, laptop, netbook, or other mobile device) to an HP ePrint-enabled printer. To print from a mobile device using HP ePrint, follow these steps:
The HP ePrint server will not accept email messages sent from private domains.
  1. Make sure the LaserJet printer is HP ePrint-capable.
  2. Make sure the LaserJet printer is enabled and setup to ePrint.
If you are not sure, go to Setup HP ePrint via email (c02981597) (in English).
  3. Make sure that the mobile device or laptop is connected to the internet.
  4. From the email messaging application on the mobile device or laptop, create a new email message.
To print an email message that you received from someone else, open the message in the messaging application, and then select Forward email.
  5. Type or select the HP ePrint email address in the To: field.
The HP ePrint server does not accept email print jobs if there are multiple email addresses entered in the To: or Cc: fields.
  6. Attach any documents or photos to the email message that you want to print.
  7. Select Send to send the email.
The email and attachments are sent to the main tray of the HP printer.

Check the status of an ePrint job

The printer must be registered with the HP ePrintCenter in order to check the status of print jobs.
  1. Go to the HP ePrint Center or HP Connected and sign in.
