Introduction

Follow the instructions below to replace the print cartridges.

Replacing the print cartridges

Step one: Remove the print cartridges

  1. Verify that the all-in-one is on. Press the On button to turn it on. The On button is lit when the All-in-One is on.
      警告：
    If the all-in-one is off when the print cartridge door is opened to access the print cartridges, the all-in-one will not release the cartridges for changing. The all-in-one might be damaged if the print cartridges are not docked safely in the center when they are removed.
  2. Open the print cartridge door. The print carriage moves to the center of the all-in-one.

  3. Wait until the print carriage is idle and silent, and then lightly press down on a print cartridge to release it.
    • Remove the print cartridge from the slot on the left to replace the tri-color print cartridge.
    • Remove the print cartridge from the slot on the right to replace the black print cartridge.

  4. Pull the print cartridge towards you out of its slot.
    • If the black print cartridge is being removed in order to install the photo print cartridge, store the black print cartridge in the print cartridge protector or an airtight plastic container.
    • If the print cartridge is being removed because it is low or out of ink, recycle the print cartridge. The HP Inkjet Supplies Recycling Program is available in many countries/regions, and lets you recycle the used print cartridges, free of charge.

Step two: Install the new print cartridge

  1. Remove the new print cartridge from its packaging and, being careful to touch only the black plastic, gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab.

    1. Copper-colored contacts
    2. Plastic tape with pink pull tab (must be removed before installing)
    3. Ink nozzles under tape
      警告：
    Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.
  2. Insert the new print cartridge forward into the empty slot. Then gently push on the upper part of the print cartridge forward until it clicks into the socket.
    • To install a tri-color print cartridge, insert it into the left slot.
    • To install a black print cartridge, insert it into the right slot.

  3. Close the print cartridge access door.

  4. If a new print cartridge has been installed, the print cartridge alignment process starts.
  5. Verify that there is plain paper loaded in the input tray, and then press OK.
  6. The all-in-one aligns the print cartridges. Recycle or discard the print cartridge alignment sheet.
  7. Press OK.
