This document describes how to load paper and envelopes into tray 1 and the priority input tray. Use tray 1 to
print up to 10 envelopes or up to 250 sheets of paper. Use the priority input tray to print one envelope or up to 10 sheets of special paper.

Follow these steps to load paper into tray 1.

Slide the paper guides to their outermost positions.

Use the priority input tray to print one envelope or up to 10 sheets of special paper.

Loading envelopes
Follow these guidelines and steps to load envelopes.
Envelope guidelines
Before loading and printing on envelopes, review the following guidelines.

Use envelopes recommended only for laser printers.

Use envelopes with peel-off adhesive strips that are approved for use in laser printers.

Use envelopes with seams extending to the corners.

Do not use envelopes with clasps, snaps, windows, coated linings, self-stick adhesives, or other synthetic materials that are susceptible to heat.
