DESCRIPTION
When the HP WorkWise app is paired along with the HP PhoneWise app, text messages are unable to be sent with the PhoneWise app. If HP PhoneWise is paired as a standalone application, the text message is sent successfully. This occurs when the WorkWise app is downloaded and installed manually and paired along with the HP PhoneWise app.
The following error message may be displayed:
  • Message not sent, Error code 23, Module name SMS.

  • HP PhoneWise app 3027 and above.
  • HP WorkWise app 1.4.14.1 and above.
Devices:
  • iPhone iOS device with HP Phonewise mobile client version 2.0.52
Computers:
  • HP EliteBook x360 1020 G2
Operating Systems:
  • Microsoft Windows 10 RS2
RESOLUTION
IMPORTANT:
The HP Workwise and HP Phonewise apps have a known compatibility issue on Windows 10 (RS2) when both apps are paired with a mobile device. It is not recommended to download and install the Workwise app on non-supported platforms.
To work around this issue, follow either of the guidelines listed below:
  1. Uninstall the Workwise app.
  2. Do not pair the Workwise app when using the Phonewise app
    .
