The control panel includes multiple buttons and lights to run the printer and a control panel display to select print options.
Control panel buttons and lights
Review the following to reference the printer control panel buttons and lights.

The following list describes the buttons and lights:
1. Power button: Press this button to turn the printer on or off.
2. Control panel display: Indicates number of copies, paper errors, wireless status and signal strength, Wi-Fi Direct status, and ink levels.
3. Ink Alert light: Indicates low ink or ink cartridge problems.
4.Cancel button: Press this button to stop the current operation.
5.Resume button/light: Press this button to resume a job after a disruption (for example, after loading paper or clearing a paper jam). The light indicates that the printer is in a warning or error state.
6.Wireless button/light: Press this button to turn the printer's wireless capabilities on or off. The light indicates whether the printer is connected to a wireless network.
7.Information button: Press this button to print out a printer information page. Press the button in combination with the Wireless button, Cancel button, or Resume button to print more specific help pages. The light indicates that you can press the Information button to get help.
8.Start Copy Color button: Press this button to start a color copy job.
9.Start Copy Black button: Press this button to start a black and white copy job.
Control panel display icons
The control panel display has several icons that indicate functions or errors.

The following list describes the control panel display icons:
1. Number of copies icon: Shows the number of copies when you are copying documents; an E displays next to the icon when the printer is in an error state.
2.Paper Error icon: Indicates a paper-related error.
3.Error icon: Indicates an error.
4.Wi-Fi Direct icon: Indicates whether Wi-Fi Direct is on or off, or is in the process of being connected.
5.Ink Level icons: The left ink icon shows the estimated ink level of the tri-color ink cartridge, and the right icon shows the estimated ink level of the black ink cartridge.
6. Wireless status icons : The Wireless status icons shows the status of a wireless connection and consists of the Wireless icon, Wireless Attention icon, and Signal Bars icon.
