This document pertains only to HP Slimline computers with the following computer case:

warning:The edges of metal panels can cut skin. Be careful not to slide skin along any interior metal edge of the computer.
caution:This product contains components that can be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD). To reduce the chance of ESD damage, work over a non-carpeted floor, use a static dissipative work surface (such as a conductive foam pad), and wear an ESD wrist strap connected to a grounded surface.
warning:Make sure the computer is disconnected from power before starting.
Step 1
Loosen the side panel thumbscrew on the back of the computer.

Step 2
Grasp the handle and pull the side panel toward the back of the computer to release it.

Step 3
Tilt out the top of the side panel, lift it off the computer, and set it aside.

With the side panel removed, you have access to the front panel and parts inside the PC.

Step 1
Insert the tabs on the bottom of the side panel into the slots in thecomputer rail, and then swing the panel ontothe computer.

Step 2
Slide the side panel toward the front of the computer untilthere is no gap.

Tighten the side panel thumbscrew on the back of the computer.
